The CAPS Special School was established in 2004 as part of the social development initiative of CAPS+DASS Trust.
Over the last 16 years, the school has become a centre of excellence for special education in Kerala. Currently, 56 students from different age groups study in the school. The school has five specialized teachers and five non-teaching staff who run the day-to-day activities of the school.
With the motto of 'Love and Serve', the school has created an inclusive environment where parents and all staff members are part of the child's development. We understand that parents are the biggest influencers in a specially-abled child's life, and we constantly strive to include them in the day-to-day activities at the school. Our aim is to create a safe environment where our school is an extension of the home.
This unique curriculum has enabled us to quickly transition to the online mode of learning as parents are well equipped to take care of their child's needs with online guidance from our teachers.
